    Neighbors harassment for parking
I live in San Jose and the neighbor in front of our household does not like that we have a lot of cars though we have a full house hold. He insists on parking his cars after we leave to work he insists on trimming his trees on a Sunday when I get picked up on a Thursday. But he does the tree trimming during the winter season so it isn't lawfully wrong against his rights. He has waited for me to get out of my car when I got home from work to talk to me about parking in front of his house holding his infant baby so that I can not tell him in a mature manner to grow up. What should I do to see if I can file a harassment or get him to stop

As far as I'm aware, no homeowner owns curbside parking. So anyone is free to park curbside (subject to posted parking rules). Its first come-first served.

I also don't understand the tree trimming issue.

Me neither. OP wrote "... he insists on trimming his trees on a Sunday when I get picked up on a Thursday. but he does the tree trimming during the winter season ..."

So trash is picked up on a Thursday. So what? I guess that means that the limbs would sit on the side of the street for four days. If there is a local ordinance prohibiting these things from being left for more than a certain time, OP could contact the local government.

And the neighbor trims the trees in the winter. Again, so what?

All that matters is what the village ordinances say. Some towns/cities/villages have ordinances restricting parking on residential streets, and can have restrictions on hours to use power tools like trimmers, or leaving debris out for the trash. Check and find out what's permitted or not in your community.

I hate other people parking in front of my home also, and making me park further down the street, but not much I could have done about it, perhaps he was hoping you would be nice and let him park in front of his own house.

But they also have a right to complain to you about it, if they are unhappy.

I would say that your tone that you would have used bad words if there was not a baby around shows a lack of maturity.
If you don't want to listen to him, walk away, or perhaps don't park in front of his house if you don't want to hear him fuss

You may have equal rights to the street; we don't know. But I do know from MANY places I have lived that there is a code of ethics that you don't hog the spaces in front of other peoples' houses. You can fight for your rights and have neighbors who can't stand you and pile brush out in front of theirs, or you can carve out more parking on your property. You can't have it both ways.
