Yes, it is harmful to your health; it can cause problems with your prostate gland for one; with your urinary tract for another. Having problems with you prostate gland is very painful.

What do you mean by "afterward feeling same" same as what ?
And can you stop ? Is it a habit, or is it an adiction

I never heard of masturbating being bad for a man's or woman's health nor this claim that it's bad for your prostate. These kinds of claims are out there because some people consider it to be immoral. It's actually quite normal.

Sorry, dontknownuthin, I don't say in a post something that is not true, or without knowing first hand that it has happened.
By the way, I don't consider masturbation immoral or abnormal. It is a natural progression in one's sexual life, but everything in moderation, including masturbation.
It isn't a 'claim' and I don't know why you would post this against my post.

Google 'masturbation prostate.' You will see old studies and new ones, YOUNG men and OLD, how much is too much, and you need to keep in mind that 'studies' need to be repeated over and over until solidly proved or disproved.

I do know one issue is getting too use to the pressure of your own hand for men, and when you try to have sex with a women, that same pressure and control is not there, and it can lead to trouble with normal sexual relationships if done too much

No its not harmful, we don't even know OP's age...
"feeling the same" means that after you are still turned on? Can happen...
And its not compulsory masturbation...
OP: if you are a teenager... its normal... don't worry you will get over it, if you are an adult... well don't worry, if it starts intruding in your normal life then that's when you want to think about why you feel that way and sometimes just getting other interests in life is enough to snap out of it, a dstraction lets say...
If instead its something that puts you under so much pressure that you start neglectng stuff like work, or other people, that its an act without any particular sexal meaning then you might want to talk to someone more qualified than us about it, but if it was that your schedule would be way more than what you told us... so no worries

First, I am responding to the OP, not to you. Second, I disagree with your post and for that reason tried to provide information based on what I have heard and read from reputable, known sources. I am not commenting on what you consider moral or normal.
I do not accept your viewpoint as scientific fact. As for "claims", I'm addressing old wives tales promoted to boys for generations such as that masturbation causes hair to grow on the palms, penises to fall off, men to become gay and souls to go to hell. I wasn't actually addressing your stated opinion at all. On the other hand, I do consider your opinion to be an unproven medical claim. I looked for supporting studies that document that masturbation causes illness or injury and all I could find were articles from reputable medical sources stating the opposite.
I see the point of Fr.'s argument that if a man gets accostomed to only being self-satisfied it might be difficult for his partner to help him reach the same level of satisfaction - I would not view that as a "health" problem though. I've also often heard the opposite opinion - that masturbation is a good way for men and women alike to learn their bodies, and therefore achieve greater satisfaction with partners. I think both of these opinions can be valid.
My opinion, based on what I've read and heard for years, is that masturbation is healthy. Of course being excessive with anything can cause problems, but he's doing this twice a day. I don't think that's all that "excessive". I would guess plenty of men (particularly those without partners, and particularl young guys) masturbate in the morning and again at night and do not suffer medical consequences.

'I think such a study would get some major press'
Plenty of press. As I suggested, Google it.
I also agree however that anyone disagreeing with a statement has a right to expect reference to studies and other published opinion if contradicted.

Can you please post a link to the relevant study you are finding? I've looked for anything that would amount to a medical study showing masturbation to be unhealthy and I can't find anything. I'd be interested in reading what you've found.

Masturbation May Increase Risk of Prostate Cancer | LiveScience
Is one of the sites near the top of the list when I Google 'masturbation prostate.'
Please note what I said earlier about young men, old men, and proving and disproving studies. Obviously the jury isn't in yet. I'm not impressed with the size of the groups studied.
