What's going on with my period?
I am 17 years old and my period has been going on for 27 days today. It won't stop and its VERY heavy. I have to change my tampon out every hour or so and it will be full and I nearly leak through. I'm worried because in school, we aren't allowed to take bathroom breaks through most of my classes. What do I do?? I'm tired and weak and my mom says I'm just sick like everyone else and that I should just ignore it and work twice as hard. I hate this. Please help me...

If you've been bleeding for 27 days, you need to see a doctor. It's not normal. Do you have a school nurse? The nurse could allow you to have a pass to use the restroom. Also, maybe the nurse can speak to your mother about going to a doctor.
