1976 $2 SF off center on front not back fine

Have some paper currency my grandfather saved, trying to figure out why he may have saved this $2 bill. It is a 1976 series from the San Francisco mint, it is off center on the front but not the back serial#L17461430 A. Any ideas why he might have saved this one?
