    York malfunction question
My small upstairs York furnace tries ignite the 4 burners but what I'm seeing is first, 3 burners ignited and then the furnace shut down, then the pilot light came back on and now only 1 of the 4 burners ignites and the furance never kicks on a produces heat... it just continuously cycles through the same scenario. The Inducer moter in brand new and running fine, so I know that's not the problem? Originally, I had 3 flashing lights, but after replacing the inducer motor, I now have no flashing lights, just another problem. Is it the pressure switch? Can someone please help?

    Thanks,

    Dean

With an issue such as this, you really need to get a professional tech in there right away. The fact that the draft inducer was recently replaced, and there was a pressure switch fault may mean many different things. You need to have the install of the draft inducer checked first. A pro will have the tools and equiptment to check vacuum of draft inducer, and operation of pressure switch. Also, they will have the right equiptment to check gas pressures, heat exchanger failure, plugged heat exchanger, obstructed vent/intake piping, etc, and also will have the knowledge to find even the simplest fix like. Dirty cross igniter bar etc. The reason the unit is shutting down is because the flame is not reaching the far burner where the flame sensor is located. If the flame doesn't get to the flame sensor, the burners will shut down. Its just another safety device to keep you alive. Lots of options as to what could be causing the problem here, okay? The only way to make sure it gets fixed correctly and safely is to hire in a tech. Hoping they find a simple cost effective cure to your problem. Good luck and take care.
