    I strongly suggest that you go to google.com and search on Grace Hopper.

    You'll find an abundance of information.

    By the way, she "invented the term "computer bug" as a result of a bug getting caught between relay contacts which were used on the first computers.

    Another brilliant female mathematician/physicist is Lise Meitner. I have always admired her genius. She was cheated out of the Nobel Prize because she was female. She discovered nuclear fission and men took the credit for it. She had an incredibly beautiful mind and does not get the credit she deserves.
