Gas furnace cycles on & off a lot once temp is met
We have a gas furnace (forced hot air) that seems to be cycling on & off a lot. It reaches the desired temp. & maintains that temp but even though the temp stays the same the heat kicks on & off. For example the temp is set at 68 and stays at 68 & the heat kicks on for 6-9 minutes and then shuts off for 8-13 minutes. This continues to go on for well over an hour without the temp never going below 68.
I'm just trying to figure out if this is normal or is something wrong. I don't want to be spending money to heat the house if it is already at the temp. we want it to be at. |
