    Infections in vaginal area
I am 22 yrs old and belong to conservative family. As I am not married I cannot be revealing my sexual life to anybody. My parents are both doctors so I cannot consult a gynec for my queries.I have recently started my sex life 2 months ago. And since then I am having one infection over another. I am just depending upon the internet to track down the disease and the treatment. I had a UTI and after that got cured I had yeast infection for which I took a single dose of flucanazole on 19 dec. the itchingg has reduced but its not gone. And recently developed some pain in the genital area twice or thrice a day. Please guide.

It is not legal for medical professions to give out your medical info.

A women your age should be going to a GYNC for many reasons. Infections in women are common and have little to do with sex often.

Go to the doctor before you do serious harm to your body

It is perfectly normal for a woman your age to see an OB/Gyn regularly. So just going to one will not raise your parent's suspicions. As J_9 said, it would be illegal for your doctor to discuss your diagnosis or treatment with anyone that you don't authorize.

Expecting to track down an illness over the Internet is a pipe dream. You may be able to get some possibilities but will still need a physician to do an exam.

I totally understand both of u, but now that the symptoms are almost dying, I don't feel any point of going to the gynec immediately. So could you please tell me if this sharp intermitent pain is a real serious thing or not. If either of you are gynecs I mean..

Also you could risk your long term health and if you ever plan on having children that as well. Some infections can actually make you infertile if not treated properly. I would schedule a rountine check up with the doctor as at your age you should at the very least be having yearly pap smears. I am no doctor but know that is the norm for all women.

No responsible doctor should attempt to diagnose you online. You really need to go to a doctor. If you are afraid your parents will find out, find a way to go to another town to see a doctor who your parents do not know. It could be another UTI, could be a sexually transmitted disease (some like herpes have flare ups then go into remission but can flare up again). It could have been a yeast infection or something like that, but any reasonably responsible doctor would need to do an exam and maybe run some tests to diagnose and treat you.
