Best to talk to your own medical practitioner about this.

What is your gender, age, and diagnosis?
If you are schizophrenic, you need to talk to your doctor about wishing to change.
Withdrawal must be slow and you can experience some very uncomfortable side effects.
There is a lawsuit against the makers, for causing breast development in boys.
One group that helps people withdraw is called the Icarus Project. I'm not going to help you find them, however, because although sympathetic, I don't want to be involved in this decision.

You just became involved simply by mentioning the group as it is easily googled.

To the OP, why do you feel the need to stop taking this med? Is it due to side effects? Do you feel that you are cured and no longer need them?

Yes, that's true. But I think it's a terrible drug. And OP asked the direct question, so I compromised a bit on the answer.

YOU think it is a terrible drug. How have you been affected by it? It does have it's side effects that can be managed through frequent medication reviews.

So, I ask, why do you think it is terrible?

Still waiting Joy. What is your experience with this medication? Do you have first-hand experience or just what you have read on the internet or have seen on legal commercials?

    STILL WAITING?
Yikes. I think I'll go back to dealing with snow and ice and pets and emails and Scrabble and eBay and Facebook and lunch, thanks. That's a little demanding and creepy.
