    Diabetes at the age of 50
    Hai

    My mother is affected by diabetes.now her age is 50. Its type 1 diabetes. My question is how to keep it normal and what diet we must take and what food we must not eat strictly. What food is good to diabetes. When we tested it is 150. So please give me what prevents we have to take.

    Does she have a doctor overseeing this problem and giving medical help?

    With Type I, medication is just as important as diet. Is she on Metformin? Glyburide? Insulin either regular or sliding scale?

    Without answers to those questions, I can't advise you properly.
