    Executor blocking info
My brother is exec over mothers estate. He refuses to show mw where money is going and what is being paid on the estate. I've asked for all info and he still refuses. All estate is to be half and half all money's came that way. Now he is refusing me the division of estate property. What to do?

Where? In my State you'd go to the Court that supervises estates and ask for an accounting.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Second, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

If the estate has been submitted for probate, then you can go to the court and get the info or have the court compel him to provide it. If the estate has not been submitted for probate, then you file suit to force the estate to be probated so an accounting will have to be made.

Of course, you can just threaten him with court if he doesn't provide you the accounting. If it is brought up to court and it is shown that he has committed malfeasance he can be removed as executor. How did he become executor anyway? Was he named in the will?

You hire an attorney, and make all records open in probate court, assuming you are in the US
