Have a loud, foghorn type noise when the shower is running. The noise happens no other time. What is this - and how do I fix it?

I have seen this happen when the flow restrictor gets taken out of the shower head. Not often, but have seen it a few times. I would try a new shower head and see if the noise doesn't go away.
