My friend has PCOD, one ovary, and was told by more than 4 doctors that she'd never conceive. She has 3 children, the last one conceived with all the issues I mentioned above, and while on the pill and using a condom. Your doctor told you that the chances of conceiving are low. Well, the chances of winning the lottery are low, but it happens every single day to someone in the world.
I have to ask. If there's such a low chance of you conceiving, why are you worried, and why are you looking at birth control? Sounds like the chance isn't as low as you think.
Wait until your period is late. If you don't get it, test 2 weeks later using first morning urine. If that test is negative then wait until your next period is due and test again with first morning urine if you miss your period. If that test is negative then see a doctor for a more accurate blood test.
