Leasing a business that cannot be sold
Can a business be leased under a long term contract that legally cannot be sold? I own a business that is established under terms of a county ordinance that legally cannot transfer ownership and have an individual interested in owning the company. I would like to know if I can lease the business to him transferring the assets and profits under a lease agreement in lieu of selling it?

One would have to review the terms of the ordinance.
