Well, as long as you know what your measurements are for your skirt, the rest is simply math.

Say your normal size skirt is 30 inches long and 36 inches wide. Your model will then be 15 inches long and 18 inches wide. Just divide every measurement (EVERY measurement) by 2. If one measurement is 21 inches long, then on the model it will be 10.5 inches.

As far as what kind of skirt to make, take a trip to Hobby Lobby, Joann Fabrics, or your nearest craft store and buy a pattern. Then, measure each place (length of a panel width of a panel [if you have panels], length and width of a pocket [if you have pockets], button placement with repect to the waistband, etc). The craft store will also carry muslin - it's one of those cheap, generic fabrics people use for everything.

Good luck with your skirt (and your professor haha)

I guess do you need more help making a skirt, or with the math?
