    Please please please help
Okay so I'm on nortrel birth control and was put on it about 6 months ago. In September I was told my birth control wouldn't be effective because I was put on an antibiotic. In September I also skipped a day of my birth control by accident an got my period on September 6th and on September 26th so I got two periods in one month. I haven't had my period since September 26th and I went to my gynecologist on November 7th and they did a pregnancy test but it came up negative. I still haven't gotten my period though! Any tips? Should I get a pregnancy test? I've been stressing about this all month and that's definitely not helping. Please help!!

I wouldn't flip out yet! If you just had a pregnancy test at the OBs office I think you're OK. Hormones are crazy & that antibiotic could have messed up your cycle. Call your OB or her nurse and ask what to do! It'll make you feel better. I'm sure it's nothing serious though.

What sort of pregnancy test did the doctor do? Urine or blood test?

Either way, a false negative can happen, especially if it's too early to test.

Try another pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the directions exactly.

It can take some women month to get a reliable result on a pregnancy test. If this test is negative then it's time to try a blood test at your doctors office.

    Good luck.
