    Edema
    I am 47 years old and my feet, ankles and calves have been swollen for over a weight. My doctor gave me a lasix shot but they are still swollen. What causes edema?

    Edema is caused by fluid retention. There are many diseases that causes this. Since I don't know your medical history, I can't advise any further at this time.
