The car sputters under light acceleration, if I release the gas and stomp on it it straightens out. I have replaced the following parts; 1 injector, all injector o-rings, EGR Valve, cleaned EGR intake ports (Drilled the plugs and tapped them to re seal with bolts), spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Cat converter, o2 sensor, intake manifold gasket, cleaned intake while off car, throttle body gasket, ran Lucas Deep Fuel Cleaner with premium gas, timing is set correctly, IACV tested okay, all vacuum leaks have been found and fixed.

It only happens under the following circumstances; If say I drive the car to the parts store, it gets up to operating temp, good and warm; I get to the parts store and stay inside for 30 minutes, get back into the car and upon entering the road and giving light acceleration it bogs down and almost sounds like it is backfiring, if I release gas pedal and proceed to stomp on it it corrects the problem, and once I drive for at least 10-15 minutes it won't give me any trouble until it cools off again. I did let it just sputter to see if it would die, it did not die but it did set a CEL code - 43 "Fuel system supply" This means to the best of my knowledge the car is running either a LEAN Mixture or a RICH Mixture. Any ideas?

Replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, which affects fuel injector pulse width. The ECT Sensor is a temperature dependent resistor (thermistor), whose resistance decreases as the engine coolant temperature increases. It provides a richer mixture when cold, leaner mixture when hot. They become corroded, due to not changing the coolant frequently enough, flood the engine, and waste a tremendous amount of fuel.

Well... here's a interesting development. (I tested the resistance on ECT and it was within spec's.) I was messing around with it today and found that the EGR Vacuum Solenoid does not work under normal circumstances, if I jump a ground to it it clicks and allows vacuum to pass through it.

What's really interesting is when I open or close the door when it's up to temp... the engine rpm increases momentarily to what it should be. Nearly every time I shut the door or open it aggressively it increases the engine rpm for a second or 2.

I measured resistance in the signal wire FROM ECM to EGR position sensor and got a reading of 150,000 ohms. The EGR position sensor only measured at 360 ohms or so. The ECM took a nasty hit in an accident that pushed the floor board up, I'm thinking I have some faulty wiring or faulty ECM at this point. Someone tell me I'm wrong!!
