Prescribed ATENOLOL 50 MG twice daily
I have been prescribed ATENOLOL 50 MG twice daily. I got in the habit of taking both at the same time daily. My pharmacists mixed up my prescribitions giving me 100 MG twice daily, which here again, I took both at the same time of the day for approx. 90 days. So instead of 50 MG twice a day, I was taking 200 MG one time a day. I experienced extremem tiredness missing work days. What dangers did I exposes myself to and with this higher level of drug in my sysytem, do I need to worry about any issues or problems related to this overdose.

ATENOLOL is a beta blocker, meaning it is used to slow the heart rate; prescribed for cardiovascular conditions. You experienced tiredness because you overdosed. You won't suffer any long term effects if you just stop taking that larger dose and consult your doctor to have the prescription corrected at the pharmacy.
