    Birth defects and high fever?
    I had a high fever for a few days during the fifth week of pregnancy and did not take anything for it in fear of harming the baby. Now I just read that a high fever early in pregnancy can cause birth defects. What are the chances my baby with have a birth defect because of the fever?

    Did not have anything to take my tempeture, but it was the worst fever I have had. I had really bad chills and was soaking threw my clothes with sweat
