    Honey for infants
    My six month old daughter was given 0.5 ml of honey should I take her in?

    Honey should not be given to babies until about a year old. Problem is, honey, although sounding healthy and nutritiious is not good for baby as it can cause botulism in their young digestive systems.

    Here are some symptoms you should look for:

    If your baby shows symptoms of botulism – constipation along with muscle weakness, trouble sucking, slack jaw, or crying and lethargy – see a doctor immediately

    You could take her in immediately knowing what honey causes.
