    Grade Average?
Homework is worth 10% of my grade, quizzes are worth 30%, and tests are worth 40%. I have 15 grades in the homework section, they're all 100's. I have 2 grades in the quiz section, a 75 and an 80. I have 2 grades in the test section, a 51 and a 93. My total average for the class is an 80. How many more 100's do I have to get in the homework section to boost my average from an 80 to an 82?

How many homework assignments do you have altogether? How many quizzes? What's the remaining 20%?

Actually since your homework is already all 100's, you have already maxed out the points you can get based on homework. Hence it doesn't matter how many more 100's you get on homework - it won't raise your average. What you need are more high scores on quizzes and tests.

But I have 5 more homework assignments, are you saying that if I get a 100 on each of those assignments, my average grade WON'T raise up?

Exactly. You already have a 100 percent average in homework. In order to boost your grade you have to up your scores in the other two areas. That's where you're lacking, and that's where you'll get a higher average.

That's not to say that you can slack on your homework. If you do drop in that area, it will affect your grade.
