    Shower surround on cementboard
I have a 5 piece bathtub shower wall surround that I am installing. I put up some cement board since the drywall that was there was from 1959. Since this project is being done in stages I may have put the cart in front of the horse. I bought the surround thinking I could glue to cement board. The directions says to green board or existing drywall. FINALLY my question. Can I glue the surround to cement board? If I can what kind of adhesive? Thanks

Cement board can be used. Rough side is for tile and thin set. Smooth side is for surround material installed with adhesive.

Use tub surround adhesive... (see image)... reduces chances of "bleed through" that can happen with many common construction adhesives... ;)
