I have huge red place on my leg. Could it be Kaposi Sarcoma?
I have huge place on my left leg that is growing everyday. It is very painful when bumped or touched and if nicked or scratched, bleeds badly. It started above a scar that I've had since I was 10-11 years old. Before it grew to the size it is now, Dr's would look at it and tell me that they didn't know what it was. But now it has grown and is moving up my leg and getting more painful. I was told by a friend that it looked like Kaposi Sarcoma, a type of cancer! So before I go upsetting myself and my family, I would like help and some advice. I have no health insurance, but if this turns out too be something major could probably get a spend down medical card to help with expenses. And when I go to the Dr. what type of Dr. should I see? A skin Dr. Or one who works with bones? Please HELP!
