    US NonResident = Georgia NonResident?
    Hi ATE

I am US non-resident H1B alien for tax purposes as I did not meet the Substantial Presence Test.
With that said, is that meaning that I am also a GA State non-resident alien?
Where can I find a GA publication to confirm this?

    Thank You

    JIMR:

No, you are a part-year resident for Georgia.

The state definitiion of resident vs non-resident is different.
