My girlfriend seems to think it is OK to hang up on me every time she doesn't get her way. I want to support her but hanging up during the middle of a conversation is childish... imature... to me clearly a sign of manipulation and control. I'm a very calm individual,, this is not me yelling or swearing.. but I'm talking a very relaxed conversation saying... something like no I'm not prepared to do that however is there something else we could do ? And suddenly CLICK...
Being on a cell phone I give her the benefit of the doubt... maybe we were cut off... She then doesn't pick up... I keave a message... did you by chance hang up on me... Why?. I don't get a call back... I feel like I'm trying to be manipulated... I like to resolve things... but this to me is abusive behaviour
I don't want to call her back until she releases that this type response is unacceptable and destroying to relationships... Am I out to lunch? Love to hear some opinions

I had someone that used to do that to me. I figured it out. I stopped calling her back. That's the game... she hangs up, you are the puppy dog that comes barking and then she pets you. Know what I mean? It is about control.

Don't call back and see where it goes. If she ever asks why you didn't call back, tell her that you thought she didn't want to talk since she hung up. Or better yet, next time you're talking to her and something gets going, hang up on her first... then don't answer when she calls you back.
