    Light bulbs explode?
I was hoping I could get some more helpful advice. I have been working on outside lighting, which is coming from an existing outside receptacle that is attached to our house. It is 15a/120v, 14g 2 wire grounded. While I was working on it, I had turned the circuit off & on a few times during the process. Since then, about 5 days later, two light bulbs have gone out. One bulb actually exploded immediately after it was switched off, and the other was a few days later, and it just blew out when it was turned on. Both of these fixtures were on the same circuit that I had worked on about a week earlier. The outside receptacle works fine and hook-up tested correct.

Are these bulbs possible related to this?

Thanks for responding so quick. These are both indoor light fixtures, one is in the family room, which is a ceiling fan with lights (60w bulbs), it is the same fixture we have had for about 7 years. The other is a ceiling light fixtuere in the kitchen, (60w bulbs) which holds 3 separate bulbs, but only one exploded when switched off. This fixture is also 7 years old.

I thought they were outdoor fixtures.

Measure voltage at each socket to confirm that is not the cause?

If this circuit is high, turn off all other Breakers but that one and see if the voltage drops, if so you may have a loose neutral on a Multi Circuit.
