2005 Troy Bilt Super Bronco just clicks, doesn't start
In addition to replacing the battery, I checked the fuse behind the instrument panel, that is fine. I pushed in the safety button at the bottom of the engine, beside the brake and it touches, but still just a click by the battery and nothing from the engine, not even a grunt to try and turn over. Could it be the ignition? Starter? I am at a total loss. I have tried the simpler things so far, not expensive except the battery. Thanks

I know you said new battery but put a tester on it and tell us how many volts are being read. Go tight connections on the battery are very import but so is a tight, clean connection to the engine. My boat would not start and it was just a loose negative connection on the engine block, battery and cables were fine

I had the battery checked and it is good. I cleaned the connections to the battery, but not the connection to the engine. Will do this and let you know. At this time anything is easy to get to as I have the gas tank and sides off the front. I had noticed this last week it was a little sluggish on starting, I had to push hard on the brake when turning on the ignition to get it to turn over, I had attributed it to a low battery. In order for the tractor to start you need to set on the seat and hold in the brake pedal, safety feature I think. I use it daily about 6-8 hrs per day, 7 days a week. Thank You, I really appreciate your help!

    Hi,
Mechanical parts fail on these machines and two of the most failed parts on these machines are the solenoid and the key switch. You hear the click which means the solenoid has power, but it may not have a connection inside. Also, it does not say it gets sufficient voltage to throw the circuit in well. I worked for a large Deere dealer up until a few years ago and it was nothing to sell and install 5 dozen solenoids in a week during mowing season.
    Peace,
    Clarke

Looking for a diagram of a Super Bronco deck. Had to replace a tension spring but don't think is in the correct place. The diagram in the manual isn't too clear on the springs placement. The belt is very loose and doesn't have the cutting power it used to.
