I recently had an endoscopy and colonoscopy because I suffer from IBS and I had a high result of 7+ on my CRP high sensitive test. My Gastrointerologist insisted on the endoscopy and colonoscoy. Everything was OK with the procedure and no polyps were found. I took a second split test blood test that the Gastrointerologist ordered and my CRP test result was 17.56. I do take birth contol pills due to POCS. Would birth control pills result in a high CRP result, or do I need to follow up with a Rheumotologist that my Internal Medicine doctor suggests. Please advise. Thank you.

Following up with a professional medical practitioner is always recommend compared to some Yahoo on the internet. I am some Yahoo on the internet.

From a quick Google search of the CRP test, it doesn't look like it will monitor the hormones that come from the Birth control pill. From what I can tell the test monitors the output of a specific protein from the liver. So the Pills should have no effect on this. As says this Yahoo.
