    Just married
    My husband and I just got married and moved to a new place. Not he is wanting out and threatening to turn off power. In the state of NC, can he leave my child and I in the dark without heat?

    What's stopping you from putting it in your name if he does, I assume its in his name now? That's a serious question. It could be resolved in a phone call to the power company.

    There may be a case for an abandonment charge if he is leaving both you and your child without means of necessity.
