Gout is always a possibility for pain in this location.
Seeing a podiatrist or your family Dr. is the place to start. If and it is a big if you are prone to gout, you need to know it as it will affect you in the future. There are medications that will help prevent gout and there are medications that lessen the pain if it returns. Diet affects it also. But there is no guarantee that it is gout and you need to see a Dr. Only a Dr. can make a definitive diagnosis. |
