I am being sued for $100,000 for a fender ! Can they really take that much?
In 2010 I was involved in a small fender bender, I barely tapped the back of his truck. Nothing happened to either car, except for my hood received a small dent. Now 2yrs later, the guy is suing for an outrageous amount! Could I really lose everything for a small fender bender?

If he is claiming injury to himself or passenger(s) and can prove injury(s) in court, you may have some liability. What does your insurance agent say?
More information is needed. Has your insurance company ever settled any claim with him? What discussion was there at the time of the accident? Have you discussed this matter with an attorney?
$ 100K for a fender- not likely, but is there more to this story?

Well he is probably finding some stupid reason to get money. It wouldn't make sense now he asks for money that something happened to years ago. If he didn't take pictures, then most likely he won't get anything.

Well I was driving a 1997 Acura legend and he was driving a Ford F250. He was speeding but slammed on breaks to avoid hitting another car! I hit him at under 5mph. His truck was fine but now he says he had to have surgery and his truck was totaled... We have a lawyer that wants me to appear in court

No pictures were taken but the police report tells that his vehicle was fine! He even told me that he was fine and his truck was fine

I used to work for State Farm. Your insurance company has a department called subrogation (lawsuits). That department may end up handling this. If you have good insurance, you shouldn't worry. The adjuster assigned to your case will weasel out the truth.
What company do you have?

State Farm. It's actually my uncle's car but they said I'm covered too.

If your uncle gave you permission, you are covered. Once the claim is reported to the agent, he will call it in to the claim office and it will be assigned to an adjuster who will call or visit you to get "the facts of the accident." So a good thing to do right now is to write down everything you remember about that day, about the accident. Do not fib or lie. You will eventually get caught. Also, draw a picture of the street and what happened with ovals for vehicles and arrows for movement. The adjuster will get the police report and will also contact the other party in the accident to hear his side of the story.
