I have a deep well jet pump system that seems kind of old and I was wondering how I would go about trying to increase the pressure in the system and what parts should I replace, if any, to accomplish this?

Currently the pressure switch is set to kick off around 32 PSI and on at around 20 PSI. I have tried adjusting it to kick off/on at higher PSI but the pressure would never get any higher no matter how long the pump would run. Is this caused by an old pump, bad tank, bad foot valve, or something else?

I was hoping it would be easy enough to just replace the pump and tank and have a higher PSI system with a quieter running motor, but if that won't help the pressure issue it probably wouldn't be worth it.

Just as a note everything is working fine currently and there's no odd loss of pressure or anything like that, so this is more of an upgrade question than a fix-it question.
