    Moen motion sense faucet comes on by itself
    I have a Moen model 87350esrs faucet with motion sense, brand new just installed. Worked fine. Now it comes on by itself for 5-10 seconds then turns off, this repeats every few minutes.
    The wave sensor on the top doesn't turn it on or off and the ready sensor works, but more slowly. Tried taking it through the on/off routine using the motion sensor on top and that deactivated the lower ready sensor, then reactivated it. However I can't activate the top sensor to turn on and off with a wave.

    There is a bright halogen light right above the sink. Could that be interferring?

    The sensors are usually heat sensing and a halogen light could possibly produce enough heat. Try this, keep the light off and see what happens. Also note the MOEN response.

    Love moen products and moen's technical as well as warranty service! Great that someone from moen took the time to post on this!

    An easy number to remember for service is 1800BUYMOEN (same as 18002896636 as posted above)
