I would say as effective as other oral hormonal birthcontrol pills when used properly. Not too effective for the first month but then effective afterwards. If you're concerned about getting pregnant than use a secondary form of birthcontrol; Like condoms for example.

    Why do you ask?

No form of birth control is 100% even if used correctly, or used with a second form of birth control. There are women on this site and all over the world that got pregnant using 3 different forms of birth control, all used correctly. It happens more often than you think.

Birth control is of course better than having unprotected sex, but the only form of birth control that's absolutely 100% is abstinence.

Basically, if you're not ready to be a mom, you shouldn't be having sex.

The effectiveness can also vary by person, and of course few people take it perfectly correct.

But it will range in that 97 to 99 percent range of effect. So if 99 percent, if there are 100,000 people having sex then 1000 of them could get pregnant using it.

Birth control is like the lottery, a small chance of hitting that number, but still a chance.
