    NC Eviction for Lease violations & non payment
    The North Carolina GS for landlord tenant law says the waiting period is 10 days to pay or quit, however, our lease stipulates 5 days before legal action. Does the lease trump the statute or do we still have to wait 10 days before we file even though we served them with a 5 day pay or quit notice?

    Since they agreed to the lease, the lease should trump the law.

    Thanks! I'll be filing for eviction on the 13th then. I'll come back after that & let you know if it worked!
