Australia is the new safe-haven escape for disgruntled Americans, unhappy with the impending election results.
Unhappy potential voters took to Twitter to warn their fellow countrymen that they would be shutting up shop and moving to the wonderful land of Oz should Obama win the election.

"If Obama wins im moving to Australia and becoming a kangaroo whisperer," tweeted @GriffinWilson1.

Another user, @CarsonCagle wrote: "If Obama wins I'm moving to Australia and going to Hillsong University."

@Chuck_Addis wrote that if Obama won he would be making his family move to Australia. "Not becoming a communist," he wrote. "End of story."

We don't have many old white guys in our political ranks, the cut and thrust wears them out, no fillibusters here all must earn their keep, but we are used to carpetbaggers from the north. Tell you what, we have some nice real estate we can sell them, wonderful views of Lake Eyre

Romney's been around a long time, your politicians seem to make the transition from state to federal politics, ours rarely do, when you blunt your reputation at state level, it is hard to make the jump, few have been successful at it. Our current foreign minister seems to be one of the few, but then he was able to retire before the state went south under his tutledge.

We have plenty of rich, vocal, would be political leaders but fortunately our rich keep to oiling the wheels of industry and leave the stuffing of the country to lawyers and such

So this land ruled by an athiestic, feminine, socialist, Prime Minister typifies the romance of the land of Oz. Pity she hadn't read the fairy tale and realised this land is ruled not by a christian but by an evil wizard, a usurper of power and position.

But this is the land of legend, the promised land, the far land, sunshine and shrimps, whatever they are, kangaroos and gold in the streets, and just for the record we don't like boat people and overstays, illegal immigrants and bludgers

Look if all those white republicans want to bring their money over here, fine, but realise, you will be taxed. If you earn more than $150,000, you pay the highest rate and no deductions, and you will pay those who work for you at least a minimum wage of $16 an hour plus benefits. No slave labour here
