Horrible smell from sinks and bath - have septic tank
After hurricane or after water hasn't been used for several days I get a very terrible odor coming from bathtub drains and sink. I have a septic tank. I run water for 20 minutes and it usually disipates. This is quite embarrassing - what can be done. Also when I don't use bath water for a while the water runs brown.

Do you hear any noise from the fixtures when you drain or flush? When's the last time the septic tank was pumped? Any more details to add? Back to you. Tom
