I'm 18, the guy is 22. We've trained together once a week ish for a few months, and become mates. We've always had a kind of banter thing as if I was one of the guys, I've never really seen it as flirting. Anyway we were at an event/party thing, and we both had a lot to drink. He bought me a couple of drinks, and one thing lead to another and we kissed. Repeatedly. Then a mutual friend told him I was a virgin, and he freaked a bit and kind of disappeared.

Then another guy was hitting on me and he reappeared, got all protective and got rid of him, and we danced and didn't kiss again until we went to our separate beds (and that kiss lasted a good 15 minutes). The next day he gave me a ride home with our mutual friend, and it like nothing happened. But there was something weird about his goodbye- I don't know if his smile was different or we held eye contact for too long but he told me he'd see me when he got back from his business trip, and it seemed kind of... not like just friends.

Am I reading into this? Should I just assume that it was a mistake for both of us?

Assume nothing! Drinks and kisses makes us curious about what's happening, and what will happen. More than likely, neither of you knows what this means, or what the other thinks about it.

Or what to do about it. Know that alcohol OFTEN lowers inhibitions and alters mind, and mood so two drinking buddies kissing is not an indication of anything at this point. Curiosity? Yes, and where it leads no one can know.

There must have been a mutual attraction, common among two people familiar with each other but its way to early to presume, assume, or even speculate. Pay attention though, and talk before you assume too much. Facts over just feelings.

A few drinks makes any one a risk taker.
