I have been with my partner for nearly 2 years. And we love each other so much we were on the track to getting engaged and married some time soon. He is going through major depression because of his past relationship he went through a lot. 3 days ago he told me he can't be with me anymore and broke down in tears and told me he will never stop loving me like I love him. He said not only because of his depression he said because he saw our relationship more as a best friend soul mate friendship rather then boyfriend and girlfriend. He said he won't be moving on for a long long time because before me he got out of a relationship of like 7 years which I think destroyed his life. He said he doesn't want me out of his life and begged me to never leave him for good. I told him I will never stop loving you and never bar you. I tried to get him back but he said its better for the both of us if when end it but remain best of friends. I have been majorly depressed because I want him back so bad I miss him and it hurts :( I don't know what to do does this mean there could be any chance of us getting back together in the near future ? He told me there will be no chance but I think its to early to tell as he is also confused as to why it ended please help what this mean
