    Chemical additive to clean sewage ejector pump
    Can I add a chemical additive/treatment to my sewage ejector pump?I ask this question because I have a floating/non floating buildup of grease/gunk in my pump tank.This is a rental house,I have no idea what is or has been flused or poured down the drains.

    Why not have your landlord do it if it a concern?

    There is no magic potion to use. The only way to degrease /degunk is to pull the lid and manually clean it out. Yuck.!

I think my sewage ejector pump may be bad. The fuse for the pump popped and when I re-set the breaker, the ejector pump turns on for several seconds and then the breaker pops again. Does that mean the pump is gone bad or do I have an electrical problem.
