Lease was not signed by both parties
Moved into a house with a lease purchase agreement. 2 parties names were on lease. Only one party signed. 2 years I was told after moving out I still needed to sign the old lease. Not understanding why I signed the lease, is it legal since I had moved out before signing?

What if both parties don't sign lease
We moved in a house 2 years ago and only one of us signed the lease. The landlord never brought the lease back for me to sign. I moved out of the property and the landlord stated I still had to sign the lease, I signed it after moving out and the lease is 2 years old. Am I liable?

A lease doesn't necessarily need signatures to be in effect. The fact that you lived there and made rental payments made your tenancy effective.

    Liable for what?

I've merged your threads. A lease purchase is different than a rental lease.

But the question is, since you moved out, what is the landlord holding you liable for?

I never signed lease, my husband was responsible for paying rent, I did not work. When I moved out the landlord told me I still need to sign lease old lease from 2 years and my husband was not paying, but was still in house.

But what did signing the lease mean to him? You moved out, so what more does he want from you?
