My sister had bowel cancer and had surgery in March to revise the stoma, since that surgery she has had a number of infections on the surgery cut itself and was not healing well, from the cut itself hard pieces looking like melted plastic push through the skin creating a small hole which they were coming out of, she took antboitics it went away then come back and so on, with her last CT scan the found the left para aortic lymp nodes enlarged by 10mm which are located next to her kidney which also has a cyst. Her oncoligist request a PET scan to test for cancer but I would to know if her constant infection may have something to do with this lymph node been enlarged
