    KY Evictions
I also have a question about Kentucky Eviction laws. My lease is a month to month. My rent was due on Feb 4th. I spoke to my landlord that my rent was going to be late and he was okay with it. I told him I would have it paid by the 16th when my money was deposited. He gave me a letter on the 4th that said basically rent was late and it needed to be paid asap. But like I said before when he gave it to me we spoke about me paying it on the 16th and he was cool with it. He showed up on the 18th with another letter dated for the 16th telling me to move about by the 22nd which of course, 3 days.. not possible especially as I am 8 months pregnant. I told him I had not received my money yet and as soon as I did it would be paid. I called him on the 22nd to let him know I was mailing him my rent money,as this is how he always wants it done, and he told me No he wasn't taking my money and that he had filed for eviction. I have a court date on March 6th. This is the 1st time I have ever been late on my rent. Plus every time I spoke with him he was understanding and acted like everything was okay. Not sure why he was saying one thing while doing another. He also told me that if I paid the rent up he would not evict. When I go to pay the rent he tells me no and I am being evicted. I am pretty upset about his seeing as he was saying one thing while doing another. What can I do about this and how can it be legal? Especially since I was not even given these notices on the dates they were even dated for.

I assume on the 16th had you had the money, he would not have given you the letter, he had it printed just in case you did not pay him as promised.

Since you are month to month, since you did not pay on time, or even pay when promised, he is within his rights to seek a eviction.
