    How can I keep my hair from turning orange?
    Okay so my hair is a dark red color and my roots are showing about inch and a half (which my roots are a dark brown) and I have 3 strips of blonde. One strip is in my bangs and the others by my ears. I want to do an ombré effect with the dark red that I have but on top and cover up my roots and make it fade into blonde on the ends but how do I get the 3 strips of blonde back to the red I want to make this ombré effect work?

    You need to go see a professional colorist, or risk a disaster.

    Turning dark hair light requires peroxide, which will turn it orange unless combined with other ingredients. That's why it isn't easy to do yourself.
