I am a 13 year old girl, and I was on omegle and I took off my shirt for somebody. Yes, I know that was really stupid. So this person told me to show my face. And I did. So then they showed me how they recorded me with my shirt off and my face was in the video. This girl tried to make me get naked and said she would delete the video, but I just disconnected. She said that she would post the video all over the internet and on YouTube and porn sites and that all my family and friends would see it. Can she find out all my information and really get that video to my family and friends? I know nothing about hacking and I'm pretty worried that the video will be sent to a lot of places. Please help!

Anytime you put something online, it CAN make it's way to places where you don't want it to go... I doubt whether they can find YOU and your family, but you never know...

If they post it , it will be illegal because of your age.

It should be reported. You need to tell your parents who will notify the police and they may be able to trace IP address and find out who is doing this.

Can they post it on the internet, yes they can, but have no real reason to, they were just doing this to try to see more of you, A 13 year old with top off is of little interest to most people, except other 13 year old boys.

Omg but I would not tell my parents, I just told one of my friends that this happened. My parents would seriously kill me. Do you know if my whereabouts can be tracked by this person? Like just through a chat on omegle?

So you get grounded or in trouble, sorry YOU need to tell parents so they can report to police and stop this happening to others.

Can someone trace you, depends, some people hack Facebook or emails and send messages to friends or do scams asking for money all the time.

I don't know what omegle is, but does it list friends or have connections.

But remember any word you write, anything you say, or any photo ever posted, can be on interent somewhere for ever as people copy things and do more.

So I wish I could say, they can't, I can say that 99.9 sure they are not, they just did not get what they wanted and they moved to someone else.

The ability to track you is small. Omegle doesn't require registration so there is little someone can do to pinpoint who you are. Of course we don't know what you told them about yourself.

But they can capture the video. Posting it may not be illegal unless it involved a sex act, just nudity (or just a bra as it sounds like), would probably not be illegal.

On the other hand, sites like You Tube will quickly take down such a video. But there are plenty of sites that will post it.

Frankly, I would tell your parents. I would tell them you did a stupid thing and you've learned your lesson. But this person threatened you and you wanted them to know in case it does become public.

If all you did was show your bra, this a minor thing. Even if you bared your chest, you are 13 and can be cut some slack for being immature and foolish. But it will go a lot worse if someone finds this and your parents learn about it from someone other than you.

You made a mistake, you need to understand that your actions have consequences and you can counter the mistake somewhat, by dealing with the consequences the right way.

I just told the person that I would have the police find them. They said OK whatever find me I live in boston or something like that. I'm only allowed on the computer to do schoolwork, and if my parents find out I'm going on omegle instead of doing schoolwork, its going to be hell. Do you think that this person can even find out my name and information through an omegle chat?

You are missing the point. No I don't think she can find out your name. But that doesn't mean that she can't post the video and somehow, someone who knows you sees it and your parents find out.

Your parents love you. They were 13 themselves at one time. They know that you are going to do foolish things. They will not love you any less if you do. While they may be disappointed in you and they may monitor your behavior for awhile, I think they will be impressed that you owned up to your mistake and learned a lesson. But the real key here is if they do find out from someone else, it will go a lot worse then if you own up to your mistake.

The person you chatted with was supposed to be a girl of a similar age? Did you see her on the video to confirm this? Why did you agree to exposing yourself? What reason did she give to ask you to do so?

It's NOT your job to catch them. It's your job to look out for yourself.. Toward that end, I would NEVER tell my parents, and I would NEVER again, post ANYTHING on the internet that you don't want your parents to see.

I agree with that. What I don't agree with is that looking out for herself involves not telling her parents. As I've said, if her parents do find out about it (and I can think of a number of ways they might), it will go a lot worse for her.

This person on video was a 15 year old girl in a bra, and she said that she would get naked also, just if I did first. I was just like whatever, sure because nobody else has done this to me before. So she asked me to take my top off, and I did. So she recorded me and started threatening me. She said that she would send the video out to my family and friends. I did not give her any of my information. I know my parents will eventually get over the fact of what I did, but how am I going to deal with all the yelling and hitting and all that crap, and I don't want to get beaten with a belt. Is there a way for me to search for that video online so I can get it taken down (if it is online) as soon as possible?

OK, first, if your parents beat you then you have another problem. You are too old to be beaten and if they threaten tell them you will report it. Yelling you can deal with. Let them yell all they want and just keep nodding your head and say I know I screwed up but it will never happen again. Curiosity is perfectly normal. I would be very surprised if your mother didn't compare breasts with her friends at a sleepover at your age (though I doubt if she will admit it).

I would not search, its probably futile because you don't have enough info to search on. I really feel for you, and believe it or not, I sympathize and understand what you are going through. I'm talking as a parent of a daughter and know how I would feel and react had she done something similar (and she did do some foolish things, though not quite the same).
