    Is the starter on a honda 3810 engaged with the fly wheel at all times or only when y
    Is the starter on a 3810 honda lawnmower engaged with the fly whell at all times or only when you start it

    Hi,
    Most are solenoid-shift starters, which means the solenoid engaes the power to the starter motor and shifts the pinion into flywheel engagement. This type of starter will be its usual cylindrical shape and have the smaller shift solenoid attached to the side of it(usually a smaller cylindrical piece.)
