Name on mortgage but not deed.
I am in an unusual situation.

I helped my girlfriend refinance her house by putting my name on the mortgage loan. Though only her name is on the deed.

She filed ch 7 bankruptcy and did not reaffirm the mortgage.

I tried to get a modification due to us breaking up and now only having one income. They denied me because the deed is not in my name, only hers.

So now I am facing foreclosure. Does the foreclosure show on my credit even though the deed is not in my name?

I know there is a waiting period to buy a home after foreclosure, once the deed is transferred back to the bank. But since my name is not on the deed, does that waiting period still apply?
