    Loss of vision in my right eye.
    Every now and again I will lose vision in my right eye. It's not very frequent... about once a month or so. It starts with my eyeball feeling heavy and warm/ kind of going numb. Then my vision gets spotty... black and dark blue blobs and blurs. If I close my opposite eye (the non-impaired eye) it's like I'm looking through black vaseline... all dark and smeared. I checked in the mirror and when I exposed my pupil to a flashlight it responds normally. There is no pattern as to the time of day that it happens. I'm also not doing anything strenuous when it happens. The last time it happened I was watching TV... which is not something I do a lot since I'm usually at work. I don't sit in front of a computer or any other screen for long either. Kind of nervous because the randomness presents the possibility of this happening while I'm driving which would make life difficult with crappy depth perception. Anybody have any clue?

    How long does it last when it happens. Sounds a lot like what is called an Ocular Migraine.

    Have you discussed this with your doctor yet? If not you should.

    See an ophthalmologist. There are eye conditions it could be.
