97 Ford Expedition Cruise Deactivator Recall
I have a 97 Expedition that originally belonged to my mother. It is the Eddie Bauer editon, 2WD, 4.6 liter engine. In 2005 the Cruise Control Deactivator "switch" was recalled for Ford trucks and expeditions due to a fire hazard. I know 97s were not officially included, but that they used the same switch. She is unsure if she had it replaced or not, is there a way I should be able to tell? I know on the harness itself there is a blue tag stating that it contains a nonserviceable fuse. Thanks.

Go to the Ford web site and search for recalls. Find the issue and it usually gives you a place to put in the VIN. That should tell you.
